Hiking

2-3 hours

General information

Tobogganing down from the St.-Martin-Hütte at Grasberg Mountain (Kramer) is one of the most beautiful runs in Upper Bavaria! The varied route and the great views make this tour an exceptional tobogganing experience. Check here if the conditions allow sledding at the moment.

What to do there

After the hike and a hearty snack at the St.-Martin-Hütte, you will head downhill on a groomed forest road. Right at the beginning of the descent, a few serpentines demand your full attention, then it goes straight on and in a larger curve back to the starting point.

Turn by turn directions

First walk uphill on the wide path to the left of the Bayernhalle. Soon you will cross the Kramerplateauweg above the war memorial chapel. In this area you have a beautiful view of the surrounding peaks before the path leads back into the forest (signposted turnoff to the St.-Martin-Hütte/Grasberg). Afterwards, stay on this path, which leads you up in large serpentines to the St.-Martin-Hütte with its great views (30 to 45 min). After a break, you sled downhill on the same route.

How to get there

Via car

Parking site at the Bayernhalle (paid parking) or in the surrounding residential streets.

Via bus

Take the bus (lines 3 and 4) from Rathausplatz to the "Alte Kirche" stop. Cross the Burgstraße. After the traffic light turn right and walk along the street until you reach Fürstenstraße. Turn left here and after a few meters turn right into Lazarettstraße. At the end of Lazarettstraße turn left into Brauhausstraße, which will lead you to the Bayernhalle.
