Cream puffs and views

General information

On the large sun terrace you can enjoy the unique view of the Zugspitze massif. Served are Bavarian delicacies and international dishes from the well-known good cuisine, as well as cakes from their own pastry shop. A particular specialty are the cream puffs (served after 2pm). This owes the Almhütte also the name "Windbeutelalm".

What to do there

It is the ideal starting point for easy-going hikes. In winter you can watch the local wildlife (deer herd with up to 60 animals) at the nearby game feeding. The most famous hiking trail is the Kramer Plateau Trail. You can either go to Grainau or to the Pfegersee (each about 1.5 hours one-way).

After the parking lot "Maximilanshöhe" you will find the Windbeutelalm after only 100m on the right side.
